point + shoot: in real life.

Despite occasionally looking like I have got it all together, I just wanted to confirm that indeed I do not. For the last week or two especially I've been juggling an extremely busy schedule, two girls who are reluctant to sleep during the day topped off with some stupidly late nights by me - just to get my website up and running. While some things go off with out a hitch, I've definitely dropped the ball in the housework department. And perhaps the personal sanity department.

Now things are catching up with me and I'm paying for my late nights and hectic days with a cold. Stuffy head, drippy nose, general feeling of despondence...you know what I mean. I spent the entire Saturday inside the four walls of my house trying the rectify its messy state all the while wishing I could just crawl back into bed.

And in typical fashion, the gals didn't want to rest at the same time, or at all really...so the day was spent half-heartedly trying to occupy them, fold Mt. Washington and try not to fall asleep on the job. But something fun I did do was document this rather average lazy Saturday in pictures. There was no styling, no hair and make-up and for the most part, we're all in our daggiest get up. There is dust under the couch, clothes on the floor and bits of breakfast on Sunny's face.
But this is us, in real life.

Sunday was better.
Hope you had a more exciting, less germy weekend - Thank goodness my mum is here tomorrow - yay!

Pop in here for some more pointing and shooting.

  1. These are totally gorgeous photos! What an inspiration for all we aspiring photographers of our kids. Fantastic. And also fantastic to see images and descriptions of a normal day... that's where we all live most of the time.

  4. Love it Lou - so great to get a sense of reality/perspective, so often blogs are saturated with prettiness (which is lovely) but it can get all abit overwhelming that you don't 'measure up' I applaud you! You and your Mt Washington hehehe
